Water in Bali: wells, PDAM and the question nobody asks
Water availability varies enormously by area and is the constraint most buyers discover after purchase.

What to ask, specifically
'Is there water?' gets you a yes. The useful questions are narrower.
- Is supply mains (PDAM), a private well, or delivered by truck?
- If a well: how deep, what yield, and drilled when?
- Does the well have a permit?
- Has supply failed in the dry season, and what was done?
- Who pays if a new well is needed?
Common questions
Does Bali have mains water?
PDAM exists but coverage and pressure vary considerably. Many villas, particularly outside the main corridors, run on private bore wells.
