Canggu or Uluwatu: which one are you actually looking for
Two markets with similar prices and almost nothing else in common.

Different markets, not different postcodes
Canggu's stock is overwhelmingly rental and turns over fast. Uluwatu's is weighted toward sales, larger plots and clifftop development, which is why the two feel so different to search even when the asking prices overlap.
The practical differences bite hardest on infrastructure. Uluwatu sits on limestone: water is deeper, wells are more expensive, and road access to individual plots varies enormously. In Canggu the constraint is congestion, not supply.
Common questions
Is Uluwatu cheaper than Canggu?
Not reliably. The mix is different — Uluwatu skews to larger sale properties, Canggu to rentals — so headline medians compare two different things. Compare like sizes on the area pages.
Which is better for investment?
Uluwatu carries more for-sale inventory and larger plots; Canggu has deeper rental demand and faster turnover. The answer depends on whether you want yield or capital growth.
